In addition to those full-time faculty members working in Hispanic Linguistics, students may take advantage of important faculty resources in French linguistics in the Department of Romance Languages and Literatures, and in general linguistics in the University of Florida's Program in Linguistics.

In French linguistics, Professor Theresa Antes specializes in Second Language Acquisition, Second Language Methodology, French Linguistics, Reading in a Second Language, as well as Technology in Language Teaching. She has published articles in Foreign Language Annals and in Pedagogical Strategies for Programs in Nineteenth and Twentieth Century French Studies: Dynamic Dialogue, among others. She teaches graduate courses in French linguistics and in Second Language Acquisition.
